Allow your senses to be enveloped by the enchanting aromas of black currant, rich dark cherry and a touch of chocolate.
Behind the Name
Each member of our little family has a block and drop named after them, infusing their character and style into our small-batch wines. Our N Block Shiraz exemplifies the boldness, resilience and determination that our cherished son brings to our family.
The Vintage
The region had good winter rains, filling the soil profile, which meant the vines were well prepared for the spring. Spring was wet and cold, which delayed budburst, meaning slower shoot growth. Spring rainfall was higher than average, meaning there was higher disease pressure, but it also meant irrigation was kept to a minimum, if any. Summer was respectfully mild, resulting in a later harvest. This combination was perfect for slow ripening, allowing flavour development while limiting sugar accumulation. The wines were much more balanced, leaving us with elegant wines.
